Sustainable architecture and construction

Sustainable construction and structure

Share

Designing, building/retrofitting, using and taking care of a building or structure´s end of life has economic, environmental and social impacts. Many of these impacts are negative.

When applying sustainable design criteria to buildings/structures, there is a conscious attempt to try to anticipate the impact that strategies, products, etc. will have if implemented. The objective is to ideally try to minimize as many negative impacts as possible and maximize the positive impacts.
